The impact test is based on the crush test developed by F.C. bond. It is used to calculate the actual power requirements of a crusher.
The impact apparatus consists of two pendulum-mounted hammers, mounted to strike simultaneously evenly on opposite sides of each rock sample.
The crushing test is performed on ten or more representative pieces of ore. More samples will increase the reliability of the test results.
The equipment has a two-hand safety release for the impact hammers.
